G20 Summit - Operations at YBAF (06/10/14)

The G20 Summit will see the leaders of the G20 nations congregate in Brisbane in November.  Understandably, the security for the Summit is of prime concern to the Australian government.  As a result, it has been necessary to put in place procedures at airports that will enable authorities to manage the risk and control the security situation.

Consequently, operations at Archerfield Airport will be affected over the period.  The procedures to be implemented can be found in various publications, including AIP Supp H62/14 effective 11 Nov 2014, a G20 Fact Sheet dated August 2014 and the Archer Tower Bulletin dated September 2014.  The publications can be found below, however, operators should check to ensure they have the latest information available through Airservices Australia.

It is anticipated that the G20 Task Force will conduct a mass briefing on Saturday 1st November 2014.
