The Minister for Transport and Regional Services, Warren Truss, approved the Archerfield Airport Master Plan 2005 - 2025 on 22nd November 2005.
In the seven years prior to approval, the Corporation concentrated strongly on upgrading airport infrastructure to ensure the growth of aviation at Archerfield. The AAC has welcomed the Commonwealth's approval which endorses its current direction in developing the Airport to handle an expected 220,000 aircraft movements a year by 2025.
The plan will uncover the real potential of the airport, which is now set to evolve into a modern, world-class airport that South East Queensland can be proud of.
The AAC would like to thank everyone who contributed quality input relevant to the Master Plan during the consultation process.
