Archerfield Airport has been gazetted as a security controlled airport under the regulatory regime of the Aviation Transport Security Act 2004. As a condition of this Act, AAC is required to implement additional security measures throughout the Airport. Among these, a risk assessment determined new vehicle gates and lockable pedestrian gates were required. This means that Airside access will be under tighter control than has existed in the past. 

Tenants and users of the Airport who cannot gain Airside access through their own premises and those who are required to drive Airside should read the information below to determine how they will be effected by this new legislation.
